Full Journal pdf1995-03-17 House Journal Page 0767 HB 44 The Finance Committee has considered: HOUSE BILL NO. 44 "An Act providing that a political use is not an authorized use of charitable gaming proceeds; prohibiting the contribution of charitable gaming proceeds to candidates for certain public offices, their campaign organizations, or to political groups; providing that a political group is not a qualified organization for purposes of charitable gaming; relating to what is a qualified organization for the purpose of charitable gaming permitting; and providing for an effective date." and recommends it be replaced with: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 44(FIN) "An Act relating to reporting by permittees, licensees, and vendors; providing that a political use is not an authorized use of charitable gaming proceeds, other than proceeds from raffles; prohibiting the contribution of charitable gaming proceeds, other than proceeds from raffles, to candidates for certain public offices, their campaign organizations, or to political groups; relating to municipal regulation of multiple-beneficiary charitable gaming; relating to the sale of pull-tabs and to bingo games; providing that a political group is not a qualified organization for purposes of charitable gaming, other than raffles; relating to what is a qualified organization for the purpose of charitable gaming permitting; and providing for an effective date." 1995-03-17 House Journal Page 0768 HB 44 The report was signed by Representatives Hanley and Foster, Co- chairs, with the following individual recommendations: Do pass (5): Hanley, Martin, Kelly, Therriault, Foster No recommendation (2): Kohring, Grussendorf Amend (4): Mulder, Parnell, Brown, Navarre The following fiscal note applies to CSHB 44(FIN): Fiscal note, Dept. of Revenue, 2/22/95 HB 44 was referred to the Rules Committee for placement on the calendar.
